EXISTING SYSTEM OF THINGS SUPERCEDED
There has always been a lot of confusion concerning what the prophecies say about the “end of the world”.. but.. in fact.. they say nothing.
The confusion seems to arise because of poor translation in the King James version.. a version which has proved to be extremely popular. However. The KJV translation is flawed.. as any good modern translation will demonstrate. It is not the end of the world that was being prophesized.. it was the end of the existing system.
The prophets inspected the system.. they judged it.. and prophesized that the changes would come about in our age. Changes concerning our existing ideas of.. leadership, law, and religion.
As for the one sown among the thorns, this is the one hearing the word, but the anxiety of this system of things and the deceptive power of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
Matthew 13:22
. . and the enemy that sowed them is the Devil. The harvest is a conclusion of a system of things, and the reapers are angels. Therefore, just as the weeds are collected and burned with fire, so it will be in the conclusion of the system of things.
