"So in this idea, then, everybody is fundamentally the ultimate reality. Not God in a politically kingly sense, but God in the sense of being the self, the deep-down basic whatever there is. And you're all that, only you're pretending you're not. And it's perfectly OK to pretend you're not, to be perfectly convinced, because this is the whole notion of drama."
THE GOD MAN IN SCRIPTURE
They have not known, and they do not understand; In darkness they keep walking about; All the foundations of the earth are made to totter. I myself have said, 'You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High.
Once more the Jews lifted up stones to stone him. Jesus replied to them: "I displayed to you many fine works from the Father. For which of those works are you stoning me?" The Jews answered him: "We are stoning you, not for a fine work, but for blasphemy, even because you, although being a man, make yourself a god."
Jesus answered them : "Is it not written in your Law, `I said: "You are gods"'? If he called `gods' those against whom the word of God came, and yet the Scripture cannot be nullified, do you say to me whom the Father sanctified and despatched into the world, `You blaspheme,' because I said, I am God's Son?"
“Every church is a stone on the grave of a god-man: it does not want him to rise up again under any circumstances.”
"Furthermore, it is you God made alive though you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you at one time walked according to the system of things of this world, according to the ruler of the authority of the air, the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience. Yes, among them we all at one time conducted ourselves in harmony with the desires of our flesh, doing the things willed by the flesh and the thoughts, and we were naturally children of wrath even as the rest."
Jesus Christ himself is the foundation cornerstone. In union with him the whole building, being harmoniously joined together, is growing into a holy temple for God. In union with him you, too, are being built up together into a place for God to inhabit by spirit."
Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Jesus Christ, who although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. No, but he emptied himself and took a slaves form and came to be in the likeness of men. More than that, when he found himself fashioned as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake.
..for them to seek god, if they might grope for him and really find him, although , in fact, he is not far off from each one of us. For by him we have life and move and exist, even as certain ones of the poets among you have said, `For we are also his progeny.
Seeing, therefore, that we are the progeny of God, we ought not to imagine that the Divine Being is like gold or silver or stone, like something sculptured by the art and contrivance of man.
Acts 17:23 -29
Do you not know that you people are God's temple, and that the spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you people are.
What! Do you not know that the body of you people is the temple of the holy spirit within you, which you have from God? Also, you do not belong to yourselves, for you were bought with a price. By all means glorify God in the body of you people.
1Corinthians 3.16 - 6:19
